This is a partnership between the Canadian Association of Black Journalists professional members and student members enrolled in journalism, radio and television arts and corporate communications programs.
This initiative, which began in September 1998, is designed to give students a competitive edge in their chosen field by pairing them with an experienced practitioner.

-inspire and develop a budding journalist -chance to write a reference letter for a mentee or recommend them for a position in your organization -stay connected to youth How it works:
You must be a CABJ member to be eligible for the Student Mentorship Program.
Complete and submit the mentorship program form (See below).
Prior to being matched, student participants and professional mentors will be briefly interviewed, either by phone, e-mail, or in person.
