 The CABJ is committed to organizing events that benefit and suport our membership. Past functions have included fundraisers such as our immensely popular and inspirational gospel brunches. Workshops have dealt with topics like how to get good stories on deadline and other career enriching subjects. Speakers series events have been well attended and most recently featured One Lone Voice with Toyin Agbetu, the bicentenary protester from the UK (See Toyin event details on Stories page). The CABJ has also held mixers, Christmas parties and annual general meetings. As the organization moves forward, these activities will continue to provide networking and professional development opportunities as well as forums for members and their guests to socialize in a friendly environment. We look forward to hearing feedback from members about the types of events they'd like to see in the future. |
