About CABJ

When the CABJ launched in 1996, we were a collective of print and broadcast journalists. Today, there have seen significant changes to the media landscape in not only how we consume information but also how it is presented.

Today the CABJ welcomes the membership and participation of not only print and broadcast journalists, but also those working in new media, social media, public relations, corporate communications, behind the scenes technical support, secondary and post-secondary media educators, and all students attending post-secondary institutions.

However, our vision remains dedicated to diversifying the media through developing and mentoring professionals and up-and-coming media and communications students, while also increasing the number of talented individuals in front line decision-making roles and management level positions.
